Anti jemmy strips are fitted to the locking edge of outward opening doors, to prevent the placing of tools into the gap between the door and frame to pry open the door. The anti jemmy strip can be fitted to the area where the door lock is installed or the anti jemmy strip can be the full length of the door edge. The width of the strip is dictated by the amount of space either on the framefor the overlap, or the style width in the case of double doors. The material which is used can be powder coated steel, aluminium or stainless steel. The strips are bolted to the door using a rounded head coach bolt and a hex nut to the interior of the door. The existing handles, lock cylinders or other hardware is catered for and the necessary cut outs to accommodate them is made in the anti jemmy strip. Each strip is purpose made. to individual requirements.
