PRINCIPLE USES
For glazing of absorbent or primed softwood framed window sections. For the detail on glazing, installation and material selection, users are recommended to refer NZS 4223:1985 COP for buildings Parts I & 2.
APPLICATION
All surfaces to be filled must be sound, clean, dry and free from grease, dirt and other loose material before application. This product is self priming, but it can also be used on timber which has been primed with a suitable primer. Primer must be dry before proceeding.
If required, bed glass using Bostik Kwik Paint Bedding Compound - otherwise use Kwik Paint Glazing Putty. Do not use silicone sealant as this could react with putty.
1. Slice desired amount of putty from sausage and soften in hands as required.
2. Apply putty in a uniform way to ensure consistency. The thickness of the putty should not be less than 6mm or exceed 20mm. Fillets may be used to limit putty depth.
3. Using a clean putty knife press firmly into cavity and smooth off. For best results we recommend using a Bent Putty Knife.
Balance of sausage can be kept as only the exposed face will skin. Simply slice skinned face off with a sharp knife before reusing.
