CLD Structural Cavity Battens are manufactured using James Hardie's breakthrough CLD (Ceramic Low Density) technology. This technology delivers enhanced durability, strength and stability when compared with other traditional timber alternatives.
CLD Structural Cavity Battens are an alternative to traditional timber cavity battens when used with the installation of Titan Façade Panel and Axon Panel only. Due to installation method followed the CLD Structural Cavity Batten acts as a structural element fixed to the framing. This means that Titan Façade Panel and Axon Panel can be fixed to the CLD Structural Cavity Battens only without the fixing penetrating the main framing.
National installation trials using the new Titan Façade Panel technical specification with the new CLD® Structural Cavity Batten have indicated approximate 25% saving in installation cost making it an affordable cladding option.
